Accessibility Statement

Our commitment
Kaizant is built to be usable by everyone, including people who browse with a screen reader, with magnification, with speech recognition, with a keyboard alone, or with settings that change contrast, text size or motion. We treat that as a requirement of the work rather than an enhancement to it.
Standard applied
This site is designed and maintained against the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) version 2.2 at Level AA, which also satisfies version 2.1 at Level AA, the version United States regulation currently cites. The standard is applied to every visitor, in every jurisdiction, with no regional variation.
Conformance status
This site is partially conformant with WCAG 2.2 Level AA. Partially conformant means parts of the content do not yet meet the standard in full. What is in place is listed below, then what is not. No claim is made about any area that has not been assessed, and a formal assistive-technology audit has not yet been recorded for this site.
What is in place
On every page of this site:
- A skip link, so you can reach the main content directly without moving through the navigation first.
- Landmarks identifying the banner, the navigation, the main content and the footer, so assistive technology can move between them.
- A visible focus indicator on every link, button and form control, checked against the contrast floors as part of the build.
- Colour combinations that meet the contrast ratios Level AA requires. These are held by tests that read the stylesheet itself and fail the build if a colour drops below the floor, rather than by a review somebody has to remember to repeat.
- Display settings of your own, behind the button in the bottom right corner: larger or smaller text, stronger edges, less motion, and underlines on every link. They are kept in your browser, they work signed out, and they change this site only. Nothing on this site rewrites the page to make that work.
- Control over motion. Every animation on this site stops when your device or display settings ask for reduced motion, and when you ask for it here; nothing starts moving of its own accord in that state.
- Text sized in relative units, so it responds to the text size configured in your browser or operating system, and to the text size set in the panel.
- Form errors conveyed in text and announced to assistive technology, rather than by colour alone.
- Navigation that works with a keyboard, including closing an open menu with the Escape key, and menus that report whether they are open.
Known limitations
These are recorded so you do not meet them unannounced. Where one stops you completing something, we will complete it with you another way on request.
- Documents shared in the signed-in area are files their owners uploaded. We do not produce them and cannot guarantee that any one of them is tagged or readable by assistive technology. Ask us and we will provide the content in an accessible form.
- Assessment covers the framework common to every page. The content
inside individual pages, and the design-system gallery under
/demos, have been assessed only in part. - Testing to date is automated and by hand with a keyboard. Testing with a screen reader has not yet been recorded, so no claim is made about it.
- The display settings are held in your browser's own storage, so a browser that blocks it, or a private window you close, will not remember them. They also apply to this site alone and will not follow you to another machine.
- The home page's hexagon mosaic is decorative and is drawn on a canvas. It carries no information, and it does not animate under reduced motion, but it is not described to assistive technology.
Telling us about a barrier
If you meet a barrier on this site, please tell us. It helps to include the page you were on, what you were trying to do, and the assistive technology or settings you were using, if you are willing to share them.
Write to [email protected]. We aim to reply within five working days, and while a barrier is open we will give you another way to do whatever it is blocking.
